Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 7, 2026
Lega does not collect personal data. The app runs locally on your Mac and does not require an account, login, or network connection for its core features.
What Lega Accesses
Lega only accesses folders that you explicitly choose through the macOS folder picker. Without that permission, Lega cannot read your files. This access is controlled by the macOS App Sandbox.
What Lega Stores on Your Mac
Lega may store the following local data inside its app container:
- A security-scoped bookmark for the folder you granted, so you do not need to choose it again every time.
- A cache of the last scan result, so the app can show previous results quickly.
- A cleanup activity log recording files you moved to Trash through Lega.
All of this stays on your Mac. It is not sent to any server.
What Lega Does Not Do
- No network requests for core functionality.
- No user tracking or analytics.
- No advertising.
- No third-party SDKs.
- No account or login system.
- No reading of file contents; Lega uses file metadata such as name, size, path, and modification date.
Moving Files to Trash
When you choose to clean an item, Lega uses the official macOS Trash behavior. Files are moved to Trash and are not permanently deleted by Lega. You can restore them from Trash if needed.
Children
Lega is not directed specifically at children under 13, and it does not collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page and reflected in the app release notes when appropriate.
